I planned on using miles to fly, but there are never any free flights... I hate capital one and all the bozos it put into competition to get tickets... Same reason I couldn't use my travel voucher... fare restrictions... they ought to advertise technically good for flight anywhere in the US or Canada... Alaska advertises good for travel to Mexico... what a lie. So, if it's my money, then why not earn mad miles... after NWA doubles them its 11000, halfway to a mystery free flight I'll never get to use!
